Favour Stud is presently home to some of South Africa's finest thoroughbreds and is acquiring a strong record in equine racing since 2008.
Ernst and Engelize Du Preez acquired the farm in 2007. His personal involvement with the stud and winning philosophy have set the standard for Favour Stud’s team of dedicated professional managers and staff. Ernst and Engelize have continued to improve Favourstud since 2007.

Favour Stud’s geographical position in the Western Cape, ensures healthy, strong Racing Thoroughbreds. The quality of this breeding stock has quickly advanced the recognition of Favourstud’s name in the Racing and breeding circles.
With high quantities of water and the tranquil surroundings, the stud farm is perfect for the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Favour Stud spans approximately 300 hectares and is deep-rooted with natural draining water. Our paddocks are placed on nutrient rich soil consisting of lime stone which makes our pastures quality excellent for young growing thoroughbred foals, broodmares and race horses.
Favourstud currently has a large amount of bold black type broodmares which boast sire names such as National Assembly, Argosy, Wolfhound, Shoe Danzig, and many other excellent Stallions.

Favour Stud offers mares comfortable large bedded stalls, daily turnout and individual feeding needs. Attentive care provides scheduled vaccinations, reproductive care, with a selected farrier and veterinarian in close proximity.
The management team – Renate and Jannie stay on the farm and night watch is provided by experienced employees, and constant communication with staff ensures safety for all the horses.
Renate and Jannie are continuously implementing the newest proven management and training techniques. The high rate of placements in the thoroughbred races are proof of their continued strive towards excellence
