As at 18 May 2015 Favour Sutd produced 53.3 % winners to runners after only in the industry for 6 years.

Favourstud is well on the way to making a name in the Horse Racing Industry. The Breeding team consisting of Owners Ernst and Engelize du Preez, Stallion and farm Manager Jannie Du Plessis and sharp eye of Trainer and Breeder Renate Du Plessis has become a formidable team. Working together to build Favourstud into a Racing Force within 6 Years of start-up.

Renate Du Plessis’s team of grooms and riders work the racers to her strict regime of exercise and correct feeding.  Renate has a complete hands-on approach to all the horses in the yard and Renate is at every foal’s birth. She is intimately linked with the horses from birth through training and onto the race course and at retirement into breeding again.

Ernst, Engelize, Jannie and Renate discuss the stallions available for the covering season, before deciding on the correct partner to the broodmares. All the statistics , conformation , track records, and  bloodline is gone into in fine detail in order to always be improving on an already excellent stud.
