Amazing and blessed day for Favour Stud!

Friday, 5 June 2015 was an exceptional day for Favour Stud at Fairview.

Despite unforeseen circumstances and changes, Favour Stud had a brilliant day at the races. Humble Harry was Favour’s first winner for the day and with yet another win over the 1000m Poly, making it back to back wins with Raymond Danielson on his back.

The highlight of the day was the 7th race: THE MILKWOOD STUD STAKES LISTED. This race is very dear to the heart for the Favour Stud family as it was the first race ever won by one of Favour Stud's horses, Gilded Moon in 2008.

Muzi Yeni and Lielums in action

Lielums (bred by Favour Stud) ran a fantastic race once again in the MILKWOOD STUD STAKES LISTED event. Although getting stuck initially, Lielums moved up very well and came flying in at third. Thank you to Muzi Yeni for taking the ride at short notice. This amazing horse with her big heart showed once again what she’s made of.

Imperial Velvet (bred by Favour Stud) won the 8th race. Although he did not have a great start Gavin Lerena got him back in the race before he turn. He moved up strongly, to win over the 1400m. Keep an eye out for him, this is definitely not the last we have seen of this magnificent horse.

Congratulations to Renate du Plessis and her team, for all the well-deserved wins, and an amazing day at the races.
