Sarve doesn’t disappoint.

Thoroughbred Favour bred Sarve runs a super grade 2 race

Another great race for the six time winner Sarve! The Favour Stud bred and owned Sarve, (Sarge - First Wave by Waldoboro) finished second at the R400 000 Gr2 Joburg Spring F&M Challenge.  The Toreador filly Lazer Star won the very competitive race at Turffontein on Saturday but the well-known Favour horse, Sarve gave her a good run for her money. New horizons were opened on Saturday for these first and second place runners.

Lazer Star jumped well from her 7 draw and was taken outside of her field as Piere Strydom took Sarve out to lead Featherfoot.  Marwing settled Lazer Star into third as the field spun for home, with Strydom giving Sarve s he favourite drew clear with Sarve in second place in this head to head grade 2 race. At the 400m, Lazer Star looked to have a race on her hands as the fit-as-a-fiddle Sarve galloped strongly.At the 250m Lazer Star was in the lead and finished the race in first place with Sarve second.
