What a Fabulous day at Fairview Race Course for Favour Stud.

Great win for Jay's Favour

The Magical Jay’s Favour definitely did not have a blue Monday 5 October 2015 at Fairview, she had the exact opposite. Although she was drawn wide, Muzi Yeni wasn't letting that stop him over the 1300m conditions race for fillies. Jay’s Favour went to the front and just kept going to WIN by 2.25 lengths. Indeed a gutsy filly! This was her 3rd win.

Favour champion thoroughbreds
Hazel Jay and Aldo Adomeyer winning Race 6

Hazel Jay, Favour’s big girl, showed on Monday that she can win on the poly over the longer trip of 2200m. She put her nose down just in time to WIN by 0.10 lengths. Credit goes to Aldo Domeyer for sticking to his guns and riding all the way to the line. Super ride and WIN. This was Hazel Jays’ 4th win. She will be waiting for the grass now.

Ideal Countess had her first run after a very long rest against the boys, and ran a cracking 3rd, only 1.75 lengths off the winner. She will come on a lot after this run. Next one should be close. Thank you Aldo Domeyer for giving her a confidence comeback run.

Imperial Velvet fell asleep in the gates again, and though having a bad start Aldo Domeyer did a great job in improving his position during the 1600m trip. He came a very good 2nd only 1.25 lengths off. Imperial is such a consistent fellow. We hope the winner’s box will see him again soon.

Congratulations to Trainer Renate du Plessis and the winning team of Favour Racing.
