Favourite Friday for Favour Stud

Favours Pride wins by 2.5 lenghts

Favour Stud is on an amazing roll and the winner circle has seen them quite a bit the last month. In the last 4 weeks Favour had 12 wins. The highlight so far is definitely Favours Pride’s win on Friday. This two year old filly won the FAIRVIEW MAIDEN JUVENILE PLATE (Fillies) (For Maiden 2 year-old Fillies) over the 1200m trip on the Poly track. Congratulations and thank you to Pilot Craig Zackey who made it look effortless. Thumbs up to her trainer Corne Spies Racing Stables, well done. This is Harry Hall's first winner from only two runners. She has also already been stakes placed over the 1400m trip in the LADY'S SLIPPER STAKES in her previous run. May there be many more for the Favour Stud owned stallion Harry Hall. Harry Hall is Favour Studs own stallion. He is out of the mare Artistic Lady by Pivotal. Harry Hall is Favour Stud owner Ernst Du Preez's Blue-eyed boy on the farm. We trust he will produce many winners to come.

The rest of the day also went quite well. La Myst always tries her heart out, but got caught again on the line to run 2nd by 0.25 lengths over the 1600m RUGBY 5 MAIDEN PLATE (F and M) (For Maiden Fillies and Mares). We will be hoping again in her next run that she can crack her maiden. Thank you Muzi Yeni for trying your best.

Themla in Action

Themla gave a cracking post maiden performance, and although still green, managed to fly up for 2nd place only 0.75 lengths off over the 1900m SOCCER 6 FM 60 HANDICAP (F and M) (For Fillies and Mares). This was her first Poly performance. Thank you Muzi Yeni for getting her mind on the job. Hopefully its one closer next time.

Hazel Jay had the shocking draw of 16 over the 1900m MR60, in the same race but Craig Zackey committed and he managed to get her placed and managed a very good 4th. Very gutsy ride and run.

Another blessed day at the races, only two more meetings to go..
