A Whole lot of Favourites

The last four weeks was quite exciting for Favour Racing. With the breeding season almost over Favour Stud is on track and doing very well.

The promising filly Cutey Me had a terrible draw to overcome, over the 1400m Maiden race for fillies. She managed a close 3rd only 0.3 lengths off flying at them. This filly had the most terrible draws, but she is definitely learning. We trust she will have another good go in her next run. Thank you jockey Chase Maujean for trying your best.
La Myst with her enormous heart, did us proud over the 1900m Novice plate, to WIN by 0.25 lengths. We are very proud of her. Thank you jockey Craig Zackey for looking after her in the race and giving her confidence in the finish. We hope that she can get stronger from here.

Captain Disco also ran in the 1900m Novice plate race, and again he managed a good 4th only 3.25 lengths off. I trust that he will go closer next time out. He is still maturing. Thank you jockey Chase Maujean
Imperial Velvet is as honest as they come, and he again tried his heart out to run a very smart 3rd only 2 lengths off over the 1600m MR 88 contest. Thank you Callan Murray for taking the ride.
Unfortunately  Rahvar lost it at the start, but still managed to run on very strongly for 5th only 2.5 lengths off in the MR 88 over 1600m.This fellow has loads more in the tank. He can only improve from this run. Thank you jockey Chase Maujean.
Fingers crossed for 2 December 2016.

Minnaroom, bred and trained by Favour Stud, had an absolute magical victory by Craige Zackey over the 1400m Maiden race at Fairview. This boy really surprised after having a long layoff, and from the widest draw and having his first run for us. He came flying to WIN by 0.5 lengths. Well done Craige! We trust he can only strip fitter after this Thank you Coastal Photos EC for always taking such great pics!!  Congratulations to the Favour Stud owners and to Mr. Henk Olivier. May there be many more.

Cutey Me (trained at Favour Stud) only had her third run, and though still green with her first start on the grass, she finished a good 2nd only 1 length off. Thank you Chase Maujean for building her confidence so nicely. There is more to come from this filly :)

Well done to all the owners and trainers.
