  Boarding Services  

Boarding Services & Facilities

Favour Stud's offers horse owners boarding services for their thoroughbred broodmares on a permanent and seasonal basis. Our paddocks are of the highest quality which are situated on natural lime stone rich soil and therefore our pastures quality are excellent for young growing thoroughbred foals and broodmares.

Our boarding services and facilities include:

  • 24 hour supervision by well trained and competent staff
  • Modern broodmare foaling boxes with CCTV
  • Modern horse examination and assessment clinic with live digital scanning equipment
  • Variable paddock sizes ranging from small recovery paddocks for rehabilitation and treatments of thoroughbred horses to large open space paddocks for roaming free horses
  • Electrified fencing paddocks for young horses , providing a safe environment ,free from injury
  • Stallion covering management during the boarding period
  • Retained Veterinary Practice
  • Balanced nutritional feeding program
  • Frequent handling of mares and foals to ensure safe happy and responsive horses,
  • Thoroughbred broodmares requires constant observation during the foaling period and we provide comfortable and safe foaling boxes as part of our boarding services as well as 24 hour supervision.
  • Regular updates to inform owners on the condition and progress of their foals and mares


Conditions of Boarding
  • Favour Stud must receive a negative virology report for E.V.A and a negative C.E.M swab certificate at least two clear days prior to the mares arrival. No mare will be allowed onto the Stud without a valid certificate. It is required that all horses are vaccinated against the Equine Herpes Virus.
  • All horses are to arrive with their passport and a completed boarding stud agreement, acceptance form and nomination agreement.
  • All vaccinations will be kept up to date.
  • All mares and foals will have their feet trimmed when necessary and the owner will be charged accordingly.
  • All horses are to be de-wormed regularly. Favour Stud must be advised of when the mare was last de-wormed and the product used.
  • All veterinary fees incurred for visits, examinations and medicines will be charged to the owner directly.
  • Stud fees are due at the time of service for non TB mares, this may be paid together with keep fees on return of the mare. Visiting mares and/or foals may not be removed until all Stud Fees and Keep Fees have been paid.
  • Every mare/foal at our stud will receive every possible care, attention and supervision, but no responsibility will be taken for accident, disease, theft how so ever caused. All mares are served at their owner's risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, damage or loss caused through trying or serving any mare. Owners accept that liability for all claims, damages, costs, loss and expense of any kind whatsoever are hereby expressly excluded.
  • Mares will not be covered without the necessary paperwork.
